Tired

It's been the most tiring of all work days in a long time.

There were no crisis, no customers yelling at me, no systems going down unexplained, and the boss wasn't reading me the riot act.

Yet, today, is the most physically exhausting day I've had to endure in a long time. And you thought that people in my line of work don't have to get down and dirty ...

After a whole day of hard labour, the equipments are all in the right place. Tomorrow, I get ready to tango with cables. And figure out how to resolve the issue of power supply. But I'm glad I'm learning how to screw things together. You won't when you'll need to screw around, so it's a useful skill to have. =)

To reward the fruits of the labour, dinner was had at Vivocity's Canivore Brazilian Churrascaria. It's one of those Brazilian meat place where these waiters come around with meat in skewers and you nod if you want whatever they have. Somehow, I feel more at home with my colleagues from Singapore. Not sure if that's a sign that my career should be heading that way ...

My 'sign' actually tell me I shouldn't be working ... hehehe ...

Anyways, I think it's early days yet for us. Singapore, Malaysia, US of A, Aussie or wherever, I think as long as we're happy, that's a really good sign.

Work involves people. And that was why you said, I quote, "Somehow, I feel more at home with my colleagues from Singapore."

Ahhh you see the Light now... *wink*

angeliu:
No, not like that ....

In terms of work, I feel I get more recognition and more satisfaction when working in Singapore.

But that could just be 'Grass is Greener On The Other Side (GiGOTOS)' syndrome.

Yeah ... thank goodness we thought of weekends before Big Corporations came. If my big bosses are in charge of arranging the week, there would be no weekends !!

winn:
Wah !!! Dunwan trip to Singapore liao lah ... or Melaka. Trip to Ipoh or Penang wan not? I appoint you Honorary Navigator for li(u)fe.

che-cheh:
Yes ... Master. Are you Padme or are you Ubi Wan Kenobi?

No typo. It's Ubi, not Obi
sinister laughter

Kenny:
I more used to the other recipe. The one where you put raw egg into Guiness.

Temporary suckiness at work will happen from time to time. But if it becomes permanent suckiness at work, it's time to leave.
