Long time no see ...

I don't even know if anyone even drops by here anymore. I know I hardly do. But heck, nostalgia has a calming effect on me sometimes.

So, just for my own sake, here's my own rundown of my 2011.

In 2011, I made great strides in my professional career, and broke some of my own records - most air miles clocked ever being one. I continue to enjoy my flying days, and I continue to enjoy getting lost in different cities. But I think age is catching up on me.

2011 will be a year when I will look back and see entrepreneurship in myself, when I finally stepped out of shadows of my own making, and when I think I've started to self reflect, and introspect about myself. I think its a sign of aging, but I think it's a great thing to have.

2011 is when I learnt to abandon some of the cautions I've placed on my own life (funny that I only do that now when I consider myself aged), and when I think I've finally come to terms with who I really am. Again, signs of aging, perhaps?

It's now 3 months into 2012, and I look forward to this being another fabulous year! It's simply amazing what a little change in the self can do to your life! Hopefully, I can always maintain the self belief, and deliver to my own high expectations. You know, like many, I am my own worst critic, and in 2011, I've learnt to stop doing that a bit, and start cheering for myself sometimes too. This year, let's keep that going!

My 2012 is a mixed bag so far, but I'm not complaining. Life will always have ups and downs. And having some ups, and hopefully, less down, obviously makes things more interesting.

No longer sucks to be me ...

A week ago, it sucks to be me.

Now, it no longer sucks to be me. I'm so thankful for the support, and words of encouragement from both friends and bloggers alike. It makes me feel that I would never have to face a challenge alone.

Apologies to friends who hasn't heard from me, and bloggers whom I have neglected to leave comments at their blogs. This has been one of the most 'action packed' weeks I've gone through.

A week seems so short, but so many things can happen in that little span of time ...

I have so many things I want to blog, but I just don't have the energy and alertness. So, here's a real quick update:

  • Nikon D80. I have one now. =)
  • Car kena scratch in parking. Dunno who did it, but it's a white car. =(
  • Was in a 2hr 45min commute from home to KL. Someone, tell me KL isn't Bangkok. Yet.
  • Regional Conference for my company was in KL. Became a host, and had a generally great time. But damn busy, and tiring, doing a day job, and looking after other participants.
  • Got a great pay increment.
  • Former neighbour died ini car accident
  • Did first photo shoot with D80. Damn happy. But lots to learn.
  • In Sri Lanka next week ...

I'll blog more about some of these when I find the time. You could probably see from the list why my feelings are mixed right now.

But I'd like to just say this about my former neighbour who passed on:

I know we haven't been close for a long time now, but I still grieve your passing. All souls have a home. It's a place called heaven. And all souls in heaven have a place in hearts of people whom they have touched.

Obviously a filler post

Dear Readers,

This is a filler post. This means the Moz is out of idea, tired, stressed and still want to reach out and communicate with you.

Here's what's been happening to me lately, which shouldn't interest you unless you are my non-existant girlfriend, the taxman or my guardian angel, who's jurisdiction must only be within Malaysia :-

  • Haze is Singapore over the past few days have been, thankfully, nothing as bad as it is in KL. Lucky Singaporeans.
  • Work is getting extremely busy. Where is superman when you need him?
  • Why are Crumpler bags such a rage?
  • Is there a really good new place in Singapore to party over the weekend?
  • Would anyone be interested in a trip to Nepal or Tibet next year? Can't find a group of folks interested for the trip.
  • What do you do to heal a broken heart? Someone dear to me is going thru the trauma of separation.
  • It's quite obvious the posturing in our media by our dear gahmen, especially, when you're overseas and have more complete views and news from the rest of the world.
  • I'm obviously going to fall sick soon.

And you thought travelling overseas is a good thing ....
